Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join the Cardiac Physiology Team based at the University Hospital of Wales.

The focus of the role will be providing Reception Services and being the first point of contact for both telephone and direct enquiries.

Main duties of the job

You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of reception duties and administrative work, strong organisational skills including an eye for detail and proficient experience of using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The ability to prioritise your workload, process enquiries in a confidential and timely manner and to work effectively in a busy environment with a fast-paced work turnaround is essential for this role.

  • GCSE grades C or equivalent in Maths and English

  • NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Customer Service or equivalent or willing to work towards

Experience

  • Previous reception or similar experience

  • Experience of working in the NHS or healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of PMS, D&T operating systems
