NHS Medical & Dental: Salaried Dentist - B

Job overview
We are looking for a dynamic, inspiring and dedicated Senior Dental Officer to bring enthusiasm and innovation to our Health Inclusion Service within the Community Dental Service. We are looking for an individual with plenty of drive and vision, to go along with their obviously much needed clinical skills, someone who will really make a difference to the Cardiff and Vale population. This role would suit applicants that want to make a difference to those experiencing the most health inequalities and someone who has the drive for change.
The purpose of the role is to support the provision of high-quality clinical care to adults or children in line with the Welsh Health Circular WHC (2022) 022 The Role of the Community Dental Service and Services for Vulnerable People.
The successful applicant will join a dynamic team providing a full range of community dentistry working alongside other dentists, dental therapists, Hygienists and Dental Nurses.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are required along with a flexible approach towards work.
A driving licence is essential as there may be occasions when the post holder will be required to work in fixed clinics, on mobile dental units or provide domiciliary care.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will provide dental care to people experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, asylum seekers, prison leavers, sex workers and traveller communities including special care patients with conditions including learning disabilities, physical impairment including obesity, mental health, medically-compromising conditions, and those with social barriers.
