Job overview
Opportunities have now arisen within Operational Services, University Hospital of Wales for General Porters.
The Porter will work as an essential part of the UHB team. The focus of the role is to support the Facilities team with non-clinical tasks in the Portering and Postal departments.
To provide an effective and friendly support service to patients, visitors and staff at all times, whilst giving a Portering and Postal service to the health board across our sites.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable. A rotating work schedule consisting of any 5 out of 7 days, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Previous Portering experience within a health environment would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be provided
A good level of education is required and you should be literate and numerate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
