Senior Finance Officer - INTERNAL TO NHS WALES

Digital Health and Care Wales is an ambitious organisation created by Welsh Government to lead on the digital transformation of health and care. It builds on the digital architecture and national services put in place by the NHS Wales Informatics Service over the past decade.

The organisation will lead on large-scale developments that make a significant difference to the people of Wales as well as to health and care professionals, such as expansion of the digital patient record and the creation of a National Data Resource. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Team as a Band 5 Senior Finance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for those with finance skills or those who aspire to work in finance. DHCW are looking for someone who is an AAT member or CCAB Certificate level qualification or equivalent experience.

Main duties of the job

The role provides direct support to the Senior Finance Business Partner and will support provision of a robust financial accounting and reporting system within the Special Health Authority.  This will involve ensuring that the Special Health Authority’s financial activities meet the highest standards of stewardship and probity to comply with corporate governance requirements and corporate finance objectives.
