Job overview
This role sits within the Digital Transformation team, within the HEIW Digital, Data and Engagement Directorate. Since the progression and evolution of the Microsoft 365 solution, there are now more tools, techniques, and benefits available across HEIW and NHS Wales. There is therefore a requirement for people, processes, data, and technology to embed effective ways of working with the M365 solution, across every tangible aspect of the working environment which supports our users and how they work.
Main duties of the job
The key objectives for this role are:
- To design, develop and support the HEIW M365 applications and services for which HEIW is responsible.
- To ensure the M365 application is developed and performs to the requirements of its users and the organisation.
- To provide specialist advice, support, and training to the organisation on the M365 solution and applications.
- To provide specialist business and information analysis.
- To create and develop a digital working environment that breaks down organisational working silos.
- To enable and facilitate collaboration internally and externally.
- To improve productivity and efficiency for digital and business processes and embedding effective data controls and management.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Degree in information and/or IT related subject or equivalent qualifications and experience
- M365 and Power Platform knowledge
Desirable criteria
- PRINCE 2 foundation in project management or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantial experience in the Microsoft 365 platform and solutions including SharePoint Online, MS Forms, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
- Experience of SharePoint document libraries and site permissions
Desirable criteria
- Experience of taking lead role in system design projects
Skills and Attributes
Essential criteria
- Ability to learn new technologies and IT systems quickly through specialist training courses and self-study
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex IT issues
- Ability to work with a number of Projects within agreed timescales
Desirable criteria
- Ability to speak Welsh
