Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Administrator to join HEIW within the Multi Professional Primary & Community Care Education and Training Unit. The post holder will provide comprehensive, efficient, and confidential administrative support to the Multi Professional Primary & Community Care Education and Training Unit. In particular, the post holder will support the delivery of education and training to staff working in primary and community services. This is an exciting opportunity for the post-holder to deploy their administrative and organisational skills and experience within a forward thinking and fast paced team which contributes to the development of the Primary Care workforce across Wales. This role will be instrumental in providing effective and efficient organisational support to ensure high quality training and development is delivered to the Primary Care workforce in Wales.

This post is part time 22.5 hours a week (0.6 FTE), flexible, with working days/hours to be agreed in line with operational need.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide comprehensive, efficient, and high-level administrative support to the Multi Professional Primary & Community Care Education and Training Unit (MP PaCCET Unit).
  • First point of contact for enquiries relating to Primary and Community Care Education and Training.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to a broad range of stakeholders including Practice Managers, Primary Care Academy colleagues, Programme Directors, and other Health Board / colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Support the development of Primary Care Education and Training workstreams e.g. General Practice Nursing Programme, development of various competency frameworks, all in accordance with national guidance and timeframes. 
  • Ensure that all information relating to the development of Primary Care education is accurately recorded and maintained on the relevant databases and SharePoint infrastructure - regularly reviewing, analysing, and interpreting complex 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Experience of working in an administrative role
  • Demonstrable experience of establishing administrative systems and procedures making improvements where necessary
  • Experience of working to strict deadlines
