Main duties of the job
You will play a leading role in the development, implementation and evaluation of integrated national social marketing projects, designed to promote healthy behaviours amongst the Welsh public.
These roles are an exciting opportunity to be an active contributor who will make a positive difference to the wellbeing of population groups across Wales.
You will be a marketing professional with experience of developing and executing campaigns and engagement aimed at promoting a positive impact. You will have experience of setting up and optimising campaigns across a range of channels.
You will work closely with our internal and external stakeholders such as the Public Health Wales Communications Team, Welsh Government, Local Public Health Teams, Health Boards, the third sector and of course, the public.
This post presents an excellent opportunity to work within a staff structure dedicated to systems-working and multi-agency approaches to health improvement. The Division has a strong focus on evidence based practice, research and evaluation as well as the application of behavioural science.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

o Short course in Social Marketing, Behaviour Change or Health Psychology

o Experience of undertaking health or wellbeing related marketing with communities, groups or in key settings.
o Experience of implementing, monitoring and optimising paid digital advertising

o In depth understanding of marketing planning techniques including insight/strategy/creative development, media planning and evaluation
o Good understanding of digital marketing techniques (social media management, email marketing, SEO etc.)
