Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Innovation Office at Velindre Cancer Centre, which is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and efficient Project Administrator.
This Project Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting and providing high quality organisational, project administration to the Innovation Office. This post will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop the necessary skills and competencies to progress with a career in project and programme management.
This post is Fixed Term/Secondment for 36 months due to funding.

Main duties of the job
Under the direction of the VCC Programme Manager, the Project Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the effective co-ordination of a range of projects that support the work of the overall Innovation Office.
The post holder will support and provide day-to-day monitoring to facilitate the successful planning and delivery of change work programmes across all service areas within VCC.
Importantly this will include administration of the project files and to help ensure that projects remain on track to produce the required outcomes, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Educated to Diploma Level in relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continued professional development

- Specialist project knowledge and experience (e.g. PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management or willing to work towards

- Demonstrable experience in an administrative role
- Good knowledge of computer skills, and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to master new applications
- Experience of preparing and presenting reports
- Knowledge or experience of change management / project management methodologies
- Demonstrable proven organisational and time management skills.
- Experience of transcribing and minute taking
