Job overview
Velindre Cancer Centre Currently has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and self motivated Portering Assistant within the Operational Services Team.
Successful post holders will be required to carry out specific duties reflective within the Job Description.
You will be required to work flexibly within a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise daily duties, whilst maintaining a professional patient centred approach at all times.
Main duties of the job
Velindre Cancer Centre Currently has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and self motivated Portering Assistant within the Operational Services Team.
The porters role is to transport patients to and from treatment throughout the cancer centre, collection of blood samples and specimens, collection and distribution of clean and dirty linen and collection of all waste, clinical and non clinical.
The post includes working on a rota basis to shift patterns days and afternoons that will include weekends and bank holidays.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
