Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and driven Senior Project Manager to lead a short-term piece of work for the Executive Director of Nursing, Quality and Integrated Governance around potential procurement of an electronic risk management system.
This role is a full-time role and is offered on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2026, due to funding and nature of the opportunity.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Essential to this role will be the ability to recognise good systems and processes related to data capture. This work will inform the next steps for the organisation in respect of its maturing risk management framework.
The post holder will work closely with the NQIG Directorate and colleagues across NHS Wales, including key stakeholders and private providers. Experience of formal public procurement procedures would be extremely advantageous to the successful candidate alongside experience and knowledge of engagement best practice.
The post holder will work under the direction of the Head of Risk Management, who has responsibility for risk management at an organisational level.

This is a hybrid role working in a flexible manner but predominantly working from home. However, meeting attendance will be expected at Public Health Wales sites on a regular basis.

- NVQ Level 4, Degree or equivalent level of experience.
- Prince 2 practitioner or equivalent level of experience.

- Experience of operating Microsoft Office Suite.
