Digital Health and Care Wales is an ambitious organisation created by Welsh Government to lead on the digital transformation of health and care. It builds on the digital architecture and national services put in place by the NHS Wales Informatics Service over the past decade.
The organisation will lead on large-scale developments that make a significant difference to the people of Wales as well as to health and care professionals, such as expansion of the digital patient record and the creation of a National Data Resource. Job overview
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Data Analyst to join our outstanding team within Information Services. This post will play a key role in maximizing the potential of the data we collect, to improve patient care and services across Wales.
The post holder will cover a range of areas, including providing analytical, modelling and data processing support, as well as responding to information requests to provide data, run reports and develop dashboards through the application of analytical and data handling skills. The successful applicant will need to be able to work under pressure, be responsive to fast moving deadlines and maintain positive, constructive relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations and be able to prioritise their own work.
Main duties of the job
Experience and a working knowledge of the following is expected:

- SQL/Big Query
- Power BI
- Python/R
- Analysing large and sensitive datasets
- Managing stakeholder requirements and expectations

- Proficient communication (verbal and written)

- Some experience of design, investigating, analysing, interpreting, visualising and articulating multiple data streams in order to consolidate into a centralised, prioritised and modern reporting function.
- Experience of working with customers and stakeholders, providing a high-quality service, presenting findings and insights to diverse audiences.
- Working experience in a complex organisation with good written and verbal communication skills
