Are you passionate about delivering the highest standards of patient care and education? We are seeking a dynamic Resuscitation Practitioner to join our team at Velindre Cancer Service as we prepare to transition to the new Velindre Cancer Centre (nVCC).
In this role, you’ll lead high-quality resuscitation training, support clinical teams during emergencies, and drive Trust-wide initiatives to improve resuscitation practice and equipment governance. You’ll work collaboratively to ensure excellence in patient care, education, and service delivery, aligned with national standards and professional codes of practice.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Provide direction, education, and support to our multi-disciplinary team, fostering excellence in a quality learning environment.
- Work collaboratively to ensure outstanding patient care and effective service delivery in resuscitation training, making the best use of resources and equipment.
- Support the operational delivery of our governance assurance framework, ensuring all training and services meet the highest organisational and national standards.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties:
- Demonstrate expertise in resuscitation practice and education, being accountable for the quality of training and life support delivered.
- Act as a clinical expert and role model, providing education and support to ward-based nurses and junior doctors.
- Independently manage and lead cardiac arrest and medical emergencies within Velindre Cancer Services.
- Lead and deliver on Trust-wide resuscitation equipment governance and cardiac arrest reduction initiatives.
