Wrexham Occupational Therapy Team has a full-time vacancy within a well-established and supportive team at Assistant Team Manager Level. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your management skills:
- To provide advice on professional practice
- To ensure the Team operates effectively to meet the needs of the individual clients in line with legislative responsibility
- To plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by the team in order to affect efficient running of the service.
- To provide guidance and supervision to all employees
- To develop effective teams and facilitation of positive working relationships.
- To deputise for the Team Manager when required.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist with a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience, who has practised OT across a range of client groups that may include older people, physical and/or learning disabilities, paediatrics and across a range of services such as hospital discharge, moving and handling including single handed care and complex housing & adaptations.

It is an exciting opportunity to develop integrated services, to be forward thinking and dynamic in changing the way we offer our services in order to be as responsive and effective as possible.
It is a unique opportunity to work on a project funded by the Regional Integration Fund to ensure that the social care offer to the D2RA pathways is as effective and robust as possible, and to develop new ways of enabling early intervention and prevention working in conjunction with other teams.
You must have experience of supervising qualified staff, managing complex caseloads, advanced communication skills and a commitment to develop your management and leadership skills.
There is a commitment to support CPD with monthly supervision sessions and an active training programme. The OT management team is well established and we offer both informal and formal supervision regularly, peer support and fortnightly managers meetings. The OT service is well supported by Senior Management who are invested in the development and progression of the service.
