Job overview

Bronglais General Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Radiographer to join the team. The busy imaging department includes General Radiography, CT, and MRI services.

Applicants will possess BSc / DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration plus appropriate experience in General Radiography. You will be required to supervise student radiographers and assist with the training of rotational radiography staff.

Imaging equipment, explaining the imaging protocols and diagnostic outcomes. and assist with the training of rotational radiography staff.

On call will be mandatory with this role.

Main duties of the job

As a Specialist Radiographer you will be based in Bronglais Hospital, a busy district general hospital situated in Aberystwyth in West Wales.

The department has a Siemens Sola 1.5T MRI scanner which is 2 years old. The department also houses fluoroscopy, 2 General X ray, CXR and A&E room, Ultrasound and Mammography.

Role development is encouraged, and we have Radiographer led Barium swallows and hysterosalpingograms, Plain film, CT, MRI and Nuclear Medicine Radiographer reporting and opportunities for post graduate study including Ultrasound training across the Health Board.

The department has a busy on call, which is staffed on site for General and CT.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
