This is a fixed term post for 2 years, due to funding.

If you are a Hywel Dda Health Board employee this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview

We are looking for a highly motivated, adaptable and conscientious Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer to help support the development of our Pharmacy service.

The posts will be based at Glangwili General Hospital, which is a busy hospital with approximately 420 beds. The specialties provided here include acute medical and surgical, HDU and ICU, orthopaedics and paediatrics.

The role of the successful candidate will include dispensing in-patient, out-patient and discharge supplies. You will help develop the services to wards and departments as well as providing a stock management service to these areas.

Applicants are also expected to partake in a Saturday and Bank Holiday rota within the main dispensary.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Interviews will be held on 06.02.2020.

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Welsh language skills are not necessary
