Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Specialist Palliative Care Team (SPCT) in Pembrokeshire. Applications are invited from efficient and suitably qualified individuals for the post of Clinical Secretary.
Working 24 hours per week (0.64 WTE), the successful candidate will be required to support the delivery of a comprehensive secretarial service to the Consultant, Speciality Doctor and Clinical Nurse Specialist team.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake a wide-range of secretarial duties including (but not limited to) receipt and distribution of mail, audio transcription, which entails typing of highly sensitive letters and reports, in addition to utilising Health Board patient database systems. You will be required to collect and compile data for monthly reports, prepare nursing documentation packs, order office supplies and maintain a tidy, efficient office space. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent organisation skills and be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work. You must be able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Due to the nature of the speciality, you will possess excellent communication skills, demonstrating compassionate care at all times and act as front of house for the SPCT.
Experience of Microsoft packages, coupled with proven secretarial skills are essential for this post.

- Experience in minute taking and organising meetings and events

- Experience of dealing with public, health care professionals and health board staff at all levels.
- Working within a team environment
