Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking to appoint a flexible, motivated and enthusiastic individual to support the COVID-19 testing service which is integral to the Test, Trace & Protect (TTP) function in developing high quality, safe, effective and efficient services in the Testing Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the Health Board response to COVID strategy. The post holder will work as part of the Testing Unit Team with support of the Lead Nurse.
The post holder will be required to assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participate in the education, development and supervision of other staff members. Work alongside the nursing team members, providing support and delegating to junior colleagues in the provision of direct care and demonstrate the health board’s values.
The post holder will be required to comply and maintain the HB IP&C standards and the Covid 19 infection prevention national guidelines along with the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP). Adhere to Health and safety measures as outlined in the SOP and escalate any concerns to the lead nurse of the screening unit.
The post holder will be required to manage the day to day operation of Covid19 screening workload either in a Screening Unit, community settings or in individual homes. Assessing patient needs and implementing and evaluating nursing care and to ensure the safe delivery of effective patient care. The post holder will be expected to provide up to date information to patients and families on the current guidance on Covid 19 information for example self/home isolation, results.
The post holder will be expected to maintain their skills and knowledge and awareness of professional issues, and maintain their profession and act in accordance with their Code of Conduct.
Full time and part time hours available will be considered
