Job overview
We are seeking to recruit a qualified Radiography Assistant Practitioner with the drive and enthusiasm to utilise and develop their clinical skills by joining our dynamic Radiography team.
This post has been developed to support both the staffing and operational challenges within the general radiography departments across the health board. The post holder will need to be able to be proactive, work well under pressure and have the desire to deliver excellent care to our patients. They will need to possess excellent communication skills and show evidence of team working.
Main duties of the job
To perform general imaging examinations (e.g. Skeletal radiography and imaging of abdomen and chest) and make independent decisions on patient positioning and exposure factors. Assist and support radiographers in the daily running of the General X-ray Department to provide an efficient and productive service. Provide effective communication, planning and organisational skills. Communicate effectively with senior staff within the team to meet service needs and requirements.

- Level 4 Assistant Practitioner (Clinical Imaging) qualification or equivalent

- Level 3 Clinical Imaging Support / Clinical Healthcare Support or other health related qualification
Experience

- Previous experience in healthcare or radiology environment
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience as a Radiology Clinical Support Worker
Language Skills

- Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
