This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dynamic team of transformation professionals working across the Health Board, Local Authority and Third Sector partners. The role is central to driving the integration of health and social care services in Pembrokeshire. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to support project delivery, governance, and reporting across a portfolio of initiatives aimed at improving health and wellbeing outcomes for our population
You will be expected to work across both Withybush Hospital and South Pembrokeshire Hospital sites.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to lead on the planning, implementation and delivery of specific projects relating to innovation and transformation and also provide project support to the Directorate and Project Manager in the planning and delivery of programmes.
You must be able to communicate effectively in order to build good working relationships and be confident in working autonomously, prioritising your own workload in order to meet strict deadlines.
You will also be expected to assist in audits to ensure excellent data quality.
Working for our organisation
Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.
We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.
Our services are provided in:
- Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
- Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
- Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
- Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent experience / CPD
- Thorough understanding of a range of PC software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Email, Intranet)
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of systems in use within NHS organisations including primary, community and secondary care
- Project Management Qualification
- An understanding of various social media packages (e.g Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and Glassdoor)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience of supporting and managing projects
- Demonstrable experience of organising and coordinating a range of complex projects simultaneously
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within an NHS environment
- An understanding of project methodology
Language Skills
Desirable criteria
- Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
