Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Are you looking for a new challenge? We have an opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking and innovative Occupational Therapist to join the Frailty Team at the Countess of Chester Hospital. The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants.
You will be expected to be the driving force behind the OT service and will be responsible for overseeing the supervision and development of the OT’s and therapy assistants within the team.
Main duties of the job
The role involves providing assessment, treatment and discharge planning to a wide variety of inpatients.
This post would suit an experienced band 6 looking to specialise in the field of Frailty and who is ready to embrace the challenge of a band 7 role.

- Membership of professional body and specialist interest group
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum 4 years post qualification with at least 2 years at a specialist level
- Evidence of commitment to Continuing Professional Development and reflective practice
- Ability to organise and respond to complex information, and work under pressure
- Advanced knowledge of current best practice in specialist Occupational Therapy area e.g. Critical Care
- Knowledge of professional ethics and their application in practice
Skills

- Advanced group working and team working skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and non verbal)
- Evidence of recent audit and/or research skills
- Computer literacy and ability to prepare appropriate professional reports and articles
