Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week
A new and exciting opportunity to join the Commercial Procurement Team in the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This role will focus on providing an efficient and professional client focused procurement service, effectively handling all incoming enquiries and requests in a polite and timely manner and processing the information received accurately and efficiently. This role will also involve administration duties to aid in the support and management of Commercial Procurements framework portfolio and update the relevant communication channels as well as supporting the team in dealing with any invoice queries
You will also be advising stakeholders regarding our portfolio of frameworks and providing them with the documentation to allow them to progress with contracts, this will involve providing help, assistance, and training when necessary.

Duties for this role include:
Being the focal point to respond and action all queried and enquiries received in the department from stakeholders and suppliers.
Liaise with suppliers on progression of all call-off contracts and ensure they are reported in a timely manner.
Provide data to support the Commercial Procurement Team and also monitor and analyse the types of queries received, ensuring all information is recorded appropriately.
As a member of the Commercial Procurement team, assist management to meet yearly departmental objectives by completion of personal objectives as agreed in yearly individual performance and development review.
Working for our organisation
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Its services are provided from three locations:
• The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds.
• Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
• Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
The Trust employs over 5916 staff (headcount) which includes temporary bank staff and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services and obstetric services to a population of approximately 411,000. This includes 361,000 residents in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire which has a population of approximately 50,000.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Supply Chain or Procurement or the equivalent buying experience.
- Basic understanding / knowledge of procurement / tendering and Contract Law through short courses and experience or equivalent.
Desirable criteria
- A minimum of 1 years purchasing experience

Essential criteria
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be able to meet pre-set schedules and deadlines, and deal with queries efficiently whilst working in a methodical manner, paying particular attention to accuracy
- Ability to work on own initiative and be an effective team member
- To respond to unexpected changes and adopt a flexible attitude
Desirable criteria
- Experience in a large commercial organisation
- Experience of providing a high level of customer service in an NHS (or equivalent) Environment.
