Job overview
Following recent investment, we have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
The team provide pulmonary rehabilitation to patients via a mixture of face to face classes within community settings across East Cheshire and home 1:1 support. We are looking to expand our offer to include digital solutions to enable more people to access and benefit from the service.
We are looking for an experienced professional with excellent clinical skills who has proven experience in delivering pulmonary rehab, who is able to work both autonomously and as part of the wider team. It is important that the successful candidate has positive approach to teamwork as they strives to achieve NRAP Accreditation.
Hours per week: 22.5
Main duties of the job
1. To work as an autonomous practitioner, to provide a high standard of specialist assessment and treatment of pulmonary rehabilitation/respiratory patients in a variety of locations. Using evidence-based principles / current best practice, specialist skills and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
2. To regularly supervise, educate and support junior staff and support workers including completion of annual appraisals.
3. To regularly supervise, educate and support students on placement.
4. To support the Pulmonary Rehabilitation service Team Leader in the day-to-day operational planning and running of the service.
5. To support the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service Team Leader on the accreditation of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service including accurate contribution and leading on research and service improvement initiatives.
6. To work flexibly within the service according to service demand and change in service provision – this may include cover across East Cheshire Pulmonary Rehab Clinic sites.
