Clinical Service Manager - Endoscopy

Job overview
We are recruiting for a Clinical Service Manager who will oversee our Endoscopy Services within the Trust.
The successful candidate will have operational, staff and budget management experience gained in an acute NHS setting and will need to draw upon previous experience of service planning and delivery of key performance targets and quality indicators. You will specifically lead on JAG accreditation process and lead the team through the annual and 5-year reaccreditation process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, be clinically credible, sense of accountability, accompanied by a desire for quality and innovation. You’ll work alongside multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure safe and effective services are delivered in collaboration with the senior management team.
This post will directly support the day-to-day operational management of the service including service redesign in line with the Trust's Healthier Futures programme.
Endoscopy Service delivers a range of clinical services including GI endoscopy, cystoscopy, bronchoscopy and is just starting to deliver capsule endoscopy. The Trust also hosts the Cheshire Bowel Screening programme.

Main duties of the job
Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure services are comprehensively assessed, appropriately planned, effectively implemented and evaluated according to agreed policies, procedures and guidelines.
Provide operational management for agreed service(s), providing expertise, advice and guidance from a broad knowledge base to improve services by anticipating needs, planning and implementing change according to Divisional plans and objectives, and changing health care needs.
With the support of the Senior Management Team, lead on the review and development of service and workforce plans, in conjunction with other services & Divisions, the wider health care community and external agencies according to current national and local requirements.
Analyse and act on information to proactively manage and maintain NHS targets.
Act as a role model by demonstrating leadership and expertise, and by maintaining credibility within the Division, the wider health care community and external agencies, ensuring a positive image of the Trust is maintained.

MCHFT provides a full range of local hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester boroughs (population 357K).
