We are pleased to share an opportunity for an experienced administrator/secretary to join the Ellesmere Port & Neston Community Mental Health Team as Team Secretary. This post is part time 17.5 hours per week. Working DAYS will be Mon, Tuesday and half day Wednesday
The successful candidate would be joining a fantastic team who support each other and strive to deliver an exceptional service for its patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, and resourceful individual to join us. You should possess a commitment to team working and a desire to deliver excellent standards of work. We want all staff members to develop their skills through training and development opportunities.
We aim to provide the highest standards in administrative support services to our colleagues to maintain safety, health and, most importantly well being of the people in our area.
You will be working directly alongside five other administrative staff and be embedded in the team with clinical staff which consists of nurses, clinical support workers, occupational therapists, doctors, psychotherapists and psychologists.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to provide a comprehensive administration service. Duties include; dealing with telephone calls, directing calls to the appropriate practitioner and forwarding messages on efficiently. Liaising with GPs, Social Workers and other agencies, responding to queries appropriately ensuring confidentiality at all times. Manage calendars and arrange meetings. Taking Minutes as and when required. Undertake copy typing and audio typing when required, using digital dictation for Consultant and Junior doctor’s clinics. Scanning documents and loading onto system. Any other relevant admin duties.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to organise and prioritise their own workload on a daily basis to ensure that time deadlines are met, and that urgent work is accommodated.
This is a varied role and applicants will be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in typing and keyboard skills which would include comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft packages. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be communicating with service users, carers, health and social care professionals

- Evidence of good typing skills e.g. RSA 111/NVQ Level III in an admin related subject or equivalent

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
