**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the ‘ECT Family’ this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, both NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.**
An opportunity has arisen to join our team of Therapists in our Orthopaedic Inpatient therapy services at Macclesfield Hospital.
What we offer in return:
We offer regular supervision from a named mentor, setting individual objectives in line with PDP, and support in completing competencies frameworks.
All therapy staff benefit from regular CPD (continued professional development) with access to advice and support from our clinical specialist physiotherapists, participating in monthly In-service training, working towards clinical competencies.
Hours per week: 22.5
Main duties of the job
To assist therapy staff to provide high quality interventions in acute inpatients by the delivery of therapy independently or jointly with the therapist, in individual, group and multi-disciplinary settings. Admin tasks will be also be included.
To assist the delivery of therapy through the maintenance and preparation of therapy equipment and materials
To contribute to service development.

- 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths or equivalent
- NVQ 3 or equivalent in care or related subject
Experience

- Experience of working within a care environment / with the relevant patient group

- Experience of working as a therapy assistant
