An  exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Practitioner in Theatres (Scrub) to join our fantastic, friendly and motivated team in Theatres at Macclesfield District General Hospital. 

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, experienced and passionate about theatres.  They will have excellent communication and organisational skills and will be a key member of the team in providing the highest quality care during the patients peri-operative journey.

Hours per week: 37.5

We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 6 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.

  • Assistant Practitioner Foundation Degree health and Social Care
  • GCSE Maths and English Grades A-C, 4-9 or Functional Skills Maths level 2, Functional Skills level 2 or equivalent

Experience

  • Some previous perioperative experience and can demonstrate desire to work in theatre environment
  • Can demonstrate the ability to deliver high standards of care.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to solve problems and prioritise workload.

  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate that they work well within a team.
