Job overview

As a member of the RTT Team you will work for long periods of time at a computer, reading confidential medical information and interpreting this to ensure correct management of the patients Referral to Treatment Time clocks.

Be confident in raising concerns if identifying data quality issues.  Work well as part of a team be willing to learn, all the while conduct yourself with respect for others and provide a professional, efficient and courteous service.

This post is being considered for apprenticeship.  The successful candidate will attend Warrington Vale Royal college each week to work towards a level 3 business administration qualification

 

Main duties of the job

Working for long periods of time validating patient records to ensure correct treatment of the RTT clock.   Have an awareness of the RTT 18 week wait National Suite of Rules.   Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the RTT Team and with other colleague staff groups. 

remove patients from the pathway accurately according to the information provided.  Developing your skills in Electronic Patient Systems.

Monitor the teams Inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.

Ensure confidentiality and security if data in accordance with the organisations Data Protection Act.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This post is being considered for apprenticeship.  The successful candidate will attend Warrington Vale Royal college each week to work towards a level 3 business administration qualification.

This post is a key role in supporting and assisting the Trust in interrogating patient records to ensure they are on a correct RTT pathway which includes tracking patients for key identified services to help support to reduction of waiting times for patients and improve the services position. You will also assist the trust in recovering and maintaining the 18 Week targets set by the Government that electronically tracks the care delivered to each patient during their visits to the Trust.

Essential criteria
  • Level 2 NVQ in Business admin qualification or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • IT qualification e.g., CLAIT, ECDL
  • Other relevant qualifications e.g., NVQ

Experience

  • Good level of general education
  • Experience of using patient information systems
Desirable criteria
  • General administrative and clerical experience

  • IT literate with good keyboard skills
  • Good interpersonal skills (Ability to provide support to others)
