Catering Supervisor

We are seeking a Supervisor within our department at Warrington Hospital. The main duties of the role is the preparation supervising & serving of patient & staff meals.
You should have experience within a large-scale catering environment, training will also be provided, a good knowledge of food hygiene is also essential.
Successful candidates must be qualified to City & Guilds 7061/2 or NVQ Levels 1 & 2 or equivalent. Must have Level 2 Food Safety Certificate. Basic numeracy and literacy skills are also required.
Main duties of the job
To respond to customer and patient comments or complaints regarding any food quality issues and to ensure appropriate action is taken.
2.To report any maintenance problems or defects within the kitchen area to the works department.
3.Liaise with the chefs regarding any service issues and any changes to menus on a daily basis.
4.To take any phone calls for the department, dealing with the call or passing information to relevant people.
5.To assist the Catering Manager with representatives from food supply companies.
6.To ensure all food safety documentation is completed on a daily basis.
7.To take stock provisions to ensure a minimum stock level is kept.
8.To cover holidays and sickness as and when required .
9.To assist the Catering Manager with production of any departmental polices/procedures.
10.To assist the Catering Manager with the Allergen File keeping it up to date.
11.Any other administration that is required on a daily basis.
