Job overview
· To provide, develop and promote a responsive, patient focused, highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to patients and staff within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
· To deliver specialist information and expert advice to all members of the multidisciplinary team to maximise patient pharmaceutical care and ensure that medicines are prescribed, administered and supplied in a safe, effective and economic manner and to reduce harm caused by medication errors.
· To provide direct supervision and training to clinical pharmacy staff, develop and provide training regarding the use of medicines and medicines management principles to clinical staff, non-clinical staff, service users and carers.
· To support the Head of Clinical Pharmacy for Bed Based and Place Based Services in the delivery of all aspects of the Pharmacy Service.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy (4 Years Course) or Equivalent
- Completed and passed Pre-Registration training and professional exam
- General Pharmaceutical Council Registered Practising Pharmacist Member
- Post-graduate Certificate or Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experiential learning.
- Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable criteria
- Independent and/or Supplementary Prescriber
- Member of the College of Mental Health Pharmacy
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential criteria
- 4 year experience as a Qualified Pharmacist.
- Expert knowledge and practical clinical skills, within area of own expertise
- Mental Health Knowledge
Desirable criteria
- Mental Health experience and good knowledge of Mental Health services
Experience
Essential criteria
- Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Able to effect and manage change
- Understanding of and ability to implement trust priorities
- High level of computer literacy
- Hospital Pharmacy experience or experience of working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
- Research or Audit experience
Desirable criteria
- Experience in management of others
- Project Management experience
