Leading by example you will promote the safeguarding, wellbeing and interests of all patients and their families whilst taking personal responsibility for ensuring the needs of patients are achieved.

We are a team committed to delivering and maintaining high quality patient care and are looking to attract nurses who shares our goal. In return we will support ongoing professional development by way of full preceptorship and provide opportunities for the individual to develop their clinical skills.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills, be enthusiastic, well-motivated and a share a commitment to team working.

You will be expected to:

  • Telephone pre assessments to establish patient suitability for day case procedures.

  • Working in the Interventional theatres alongside Consultant Radiologists, Radiographers and Advanced Practitioners as a Scrub assistant for patients undergoing complex procedures.
  • Assisting with biopsies, Drainage tube insertions, Nephrostomy and Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiograms (PTC)
  • Supporting patient care and service delivery.
  • Participate in the writing of Protocols pertaining to the role.
  • On call out of hours commitment, including weekends, bank holidays and overnight.

These duties are not exhaustive of the job role but give a good indication of the expectations of the post holder.
