NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB) is a statutory NHS organisation responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of our communities, managing the NHS budget, and arranging for the provision of joined up health services which improve the lives of people who live and work in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Main duties of the job

As part of this role the post holder be expected to be involved in: 

•    The post holder will contribute to the Patient Experience work stream within the Quality function and liaise with the ICB Quality Improvement function to deliver their workstream of programmes within the ICB. 

•    The post holder will provide support to complex multi-agency processes managed by members of the team (e.g. serious incident reporting, safeguarding alerts; significant event audit)

•    Participate in developing, implementing and monitoring relevant policies, procedures and protocols to meet ICB’s Patient Experience and Complaints management standards.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
Desirable criteria
  • Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
  • Experience of managing patient safety and risks and associated reporting.
  • Experience of working within Patient safety/quality
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment.

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers, reports and correspondence at SMT level
  • Evidence of success in efficient and effective project and programme management.
  • Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders.
