Job overview

Join Our Early Intervention in Psychosis Team as a CBTp Therapist

Are you passionate about delivering meaningful, recovery‑focused psychological therapies? We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated CBT for Psychosis (CBTp) Therapist to join our dynamic Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service.  Offering evidence‑based assessment, formulation, and individual and group CBTp interventions.

Working as part of a warm, skilled, and compassionate MDT, you will collaborate closely with nurses, psychologists, OTs, psychiatrists, and support workers to create innovative, person‑centred packages of care. You will also contribute to the wider development of psychological practice within the team through specialist consultation, supervision, and training for colleagues.

This role is ideal for a therapist who values autonomy, creativity, and partnership working. Whether delivering therapy at home, in clinic, or in the community, you will help people make sense of their experiences and move forward with hope and confidence.

If you are committed to high‑quality care and want to make a real impact during a crucial stage of someone’s recovery journey, we would love to hear from you

As an accredited CBTp Therapist, the post-holder will contribute to the EIP service by:-

They will maintain their BABCP accreditation, have experience of delivering CBT supervision, and be willing to engage in further supervisory training as deemed necessary.

Working for our organisation

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.  We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health.  We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

We are a people organisation and people matter to us.  As part of the team, you’ll help support the health and wellbeing of the people who live and visit this beautiful part of the UK.

Over 5,000 people make up the Trust.  This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.

We work in people’s homes, in community clinics and bases.  Some staff work from one of our 10 community hospitals.  Our aspiration is to have great people, provide great care, be a great place to work and a great partner.

Approximately 568,000 people live here.  A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon.  As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon.  In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area.  This increase the numbers of people who use out services.
