This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary colleagues to support patients with a wide range of complex neurological conditions. You will be supporting assessment, adaptation, rehabilitation and management of patients’ neurological presentations through both direct and indirect service provision.

You will provide clinical leadership to support and supervise other members of the multidisciplinary team and take a leadership role in the further development of psychological services within the Neurorehabilitation Services. You will receive clinical and professional supervision to support you in your role, and be part of the wider adult psychological services team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will work directly with patients to support their neuropsychological and biopsychosocial understandings, their rehabilitation, and their families/carers as they move between acute and community pathways.

To achieve this, you will provide high quality, accessible, equitable and specialist psychological rehabilitation and therapies for people with neurological conditions. You will provide highly specialist neuropsychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based intervention.

You will work collaboratively with those delivering neurological rehabilitation approaches and offer advice and consultation in complex clinical cases. You will provide a model of reflective practice to support psychologically informed care and the wider well-being of the multidisciplinary team. You will provide clinical consultation and supervision to support psychological assessment and intervention provided by other psychological professionals.

You will provide clinical leadership and supervision to other psychological professionals and members of the MDT. You will take a leadership role in the further development of psychology services within neurorehabilitation by leading service development initiatives together with other senior colleagues.
