Paediatric Community Specialist Dietitian

Band 6

Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian to work in a community-based service to support children and young people with a learning or physical disability and selective eating in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

We are looking for a highly motivated, confident dietitian who would like to work alongside the Neurodisability dietetic service, the ARFID Team and multiagency colleagues to deliver a clinical dietetic service to disabled children with selective eating. The post holder will work with the team on the ongoing development and delivery of the selective eating pathway, an innovative education and training programme for parent groups and professionals working with selective eaters.

Main duties of the job

This post will hold a caseload of children and young people with selective eating, liaising with their families, carers and settings across the age range from birth to 18 years old. The dietetic therapy and training will be delivered both virtually and face to face within the local community, covering a wide geographical area. This means the successful candidate would need unrestricted access to a motor vehicle, insured for the purposes, to get from one appointment to another. Our service is committed to student training, quality improvement, research and audit and we pride ourselves on our commitment to continuing professional development.
