THIS ROLE IS OPEN TO THE CORNWALL HEALTHCARE COMMUNITY ONLY.
An exciting opportunity has arisen, for a band 5 Dietitian to join the Paediatric Dietetic Team in Cornwall. This post will work specifically within the paediatric diabetes multidisciplinary team within Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Main duties of the job
- To provide dietetic input for children and young people living with diabetes, within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
· To work as part of the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (RCHT) Nutrition and Dietetic team providing dietetic support and advice to patients and health professionals with a wide clinical remit.
· To contribute, as appropriate to policy development.
· To develop appropriate resources as required.
· To assess and treat an agreed caseload of patients under the supervision of a more senior practitioner
· To keep accurate records in accordance with RCHT and Health Professions Council regulations/policy.

- experience in both in- and outpatients
- an ability to manage a designated caseload
- An ability to work effectively within teams. Evidenced MDT working.
Desirable criteria
- Post registration experience of delivering in- and outpatient dietetic care.
- Experience in training ward staff.
- Experience of managing admin or assistant staff.
