We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our friendly, busy departments at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust. You will be working on the Band 5 rotational scheme covering the acute wards and outpatients, providing rehabilitation / respiratory / trauma and orthopaedics / surgical / neurology/ stroke/ medicine/ cardiology and acute and frailty/ musculoskeletal intervention to a broad case mix of inpatients. The rotational post incorporates weekend working. You will be required to be part of the on-call respiratory service.
This is a full time (37.5 hours per week) entry level post. Flexible working across seven days will be required, with commitment to the respiratory weekend and on-call rota for the rotational posts.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- HCPC registered / or pending.
Desirable criteria
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, an understanding of their roles and respect for the other professionals within the team
- Experience of working in a team of people
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in an NHS setting in the following clinical areas: Trauma and Orthopaedics, Medical, Respiratory, Neurology, Mental Health.
Practical/Intellectual Skills
Essential criteria
- Up-to-date clinical skills
- Entry level assessment skills
- Well developed communication skills - empathy, negotiation, and motivation, presenting of complex facts in an understandable way, re-assurance, and support particularly to anxious people.
- Good understanding of roles with a multi-disciplinary team
- Computer literate
- Presentation skills
- Evidence of clinical audit / research activity
