Job overview
- To work as part of the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (RCHT) Nutrition and Dietetic team providing dietetic support and advice to patients and health professionals with a wide clinical remit.
- To contribute, as appropriate to policy development.
- To develop appropriate resources as required.
- To assess and treat an agreed caseload of patients under the supervision of a more senior practitioner
- To keep accurate records in accordance with RCHT and Health Professions Council regulations/policy.
Main duties of the job
To deliver a quality, evidence based nutrition and dietetic service within a defined section of the Nutrition and Dietetic team.
· May be required to deliver a service to more complex clinical areas under the direct supervision of a more senior practitioner.
· To be responsible for nutrition and dietetic participation in multi-professional groups and contribute to policy making as directed by the lead Dietitian.
· May be required to deliver a service in different locations.
· To work as member of the County wide Nutrition and Dietetic team.
· RCHT is working towards seven day service delivery and the post holder may be expected to work on weekends and bank holidays

- To be able to demonstrate Proficient IT skills including Microsoft; Excel, Email, Power Point, Word.
- Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent leading to Health Professions Council (HCPC) Registration as a Dietitian
- Experience with both in- and outpatients
Desirable criteria
- Will accept applications from those awaiting HCPC registration
