Job overview
The Acquired Brain Injury Service is looking for a competent Administrator to join their team. As an Acquired brain Injury Administrator you will be required to to work alongside a range of health and social care professionals to develop an ethos that encourages inter-disciplinary working and integrated care to ensure that the patients in Cumbria are provided with the highest possible standard of care.
Main duties of the job
Carry out activities that support clinical triage of referrals for community care and track patients through care pathways across primary, secondary and acute settings.
Schedule visits to patients on behalf of clinicians and assistants using electronic systems where available.
To answer telephone calls as appropriate following service protocols.
Input and retrieve data using IT systems, ensuring that all information taken is recorded quickly and accurately.
To communicate effectively and consistently both with colleagues and callers to the service whilst retaining the ability to remain calm in difficult situations
To prioritise calls requiring immediate attention.
Recognise and action needs of callers and GPs requiring other services e.g. Mental Health Crisis Intervention team, Social Services and Third Sector.
Prepare reports and letters in relation to patient care.
Respond appropriately to enquiries from other services and patients, referring to other members of the team when necessary.
Produce performance monitoring reports as required by Team Lead / Case Manager.

Qualifications

- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
