Bank Audiologist

This vacancy offers the opportunity to be part of a growing, vibrant team, providing effective health care to the people of north Cumbria and working to bring about dynamic change in the way patients requiring health care are managed.

We are looking for a suitably qualified Audiologist to join our team  on a casual basis and help us deliver a multi-site service dealing with both adults and children.  As a Band 5 Audiologist you will be expected to work autonomously using your own initiative to select, verify and fit a range of NHS hearing aids and undertake a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative Audiology procedures.

As the department provides a comprehensive range of specialist services we can offer the post holder the opportunity to train and develop their clinical skills and knowledge in specific areas to help advance their careers.

The post is full time but we may also consider suitable candidates requiring part time hours.

You will hold BAAT part 1 and 2 or BSc/MSc Audiology (or equivalent) and be registered (or working towards registration) with AHCS. We also welcome applications from students expecting to graduate at the end of this academic year.

Main duties of the job

Provision of a range of audiological investigations, to assess hearing acuity and assist in diagnosis, to patients of all ages from new-born babies to the elderly. Provision of a comprehensive aural rehabilitation service to patients of all ages with hearing loss and Tinnitus.
