An exciting opportunity has risen, to develop your skills as a Band 7 Ward manager for a 14 bedded Renal and Haematology ward - Willow B at Cumberland Infirmary.
We are looking to employ a Band 7 Deputy Ward Manager 37.5hrs per week to join our friendly, hardworking and ambitious Renal and Haematology ward team. If you would like to lead a ward team and be able to develop your leadership and management skills whilst being supported by the Quality Matron then this is an excellent opportunity for you .
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills and be committed to driving improvements forward.
Main duties of the job
Manage and provide all aspects of patient care, whilst acting in accordance with the code of professional conduct (NMC) and other professional guidelines.
Provide effective clinical leadership to facilitate the delivery of patient care. Ensure that the highest standard of care is delivered to patients in the department providing continuing assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care. Provide expert nursing advice to the MDT, and co-ordinate a training programme for nursing staff.

Standard DBS check £21.50, Enhanced DBS check £49.50 + any admin costs.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered nurse with current registration.
- NST307 or equivalent
- Management / leadership certificate or equivalent.
- Post registration certificate in clinical speciality or equivalent.
Desirable criteria
- Postgraduate certificate in management or equivalent.
- ALS provider
- Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent.
- Further relevant postgraduate development or equivalent.
