Deputy Ward Manager Band 6  26 hours 

Maple Orthopaedics is a 51 bedded unit specialising in the care of Trauma and elective orthopaedic patients  living with dementia or experiencing delirium. We aim to provide high quality, person centred care. 

We are looking for someone who is willing to develop into a leadership and management role with the ability to support the ward manager with a team to provide high standards of care based on best practice. The ward will be fully supported by the Multidisciplinary team and clinical support will be provided by allocated matron. 

Main duties of the job

Ensure the organisation and leadership of nursing and midwifery services supports the delivery of the highest standards of patient care in the pursuance of the Trust’s objectives. The core nursing team is responsible for ensuring that effective systems of work are in place to ensure the safe delivery of evidence based patient care and patient flow  Support effective patient flows and management of resources in the allocated clinical area in the Trust.

Enhanced Check: £49.50 + administration cost of £5.90 = £55.40. Deducted from salary over a 4 month period or a one-off payment.

  • Registered Nurse, with active registration.
  • Relevant training at level 2 or equivalent.
  • NST 307 or equivalent.
