PPE Supervisor Band 5 - 15:00 hrs - Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle
The Lead PPE Education Facilitator will work as part of the Health & Safety Team in the effective delivery of Qualitative and Quantitative respiratory Fit Testing (to HSG65). This post holder will coordinate the facilitation of Trust provisions relating to all types of personal protective equipment (PPE) & training for fit testing staff and PPE Education Facilitators. This post holder will oversee a team of education facilitator’s trust wide providing the pre planning and leadership governance required to ensure fit testing service provision & employee training for safety trust wide.
The post holder will coordinate the deployment & education of staff trust wide & will assess competency of a team of fit testers and PPE Education Facilitators. They will facilitate PPE safety awareness training and equipment to a wide range of staff, holding responsibility for maintaining high standards of documentation in relation to planning and training records. The post holder will assist to support the organisational governance and administration by ensuring accurate records with regards to fit testing & equipment maintenance and calibration checks required.
The post holder will be expected to participate in any relevant training required for them to undertake their role effectively.
Main duties of the job
To provide supervision to the PPE Educators
Monitor compliance to expected KPI's
Develop training programmes for application of PPE in Clinical and estate settings
Undertake day to day management of the Department
Maintain personal competencies for Fit testing and PPE Education
Undertake supervision for health & well being and annual appraisal
