Job overview
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and bank holiday cover outside normal working hours.
An exciting and unique secondment opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Copeland Community Rehabilitation Service within the ICC. We provide the opportunity to work within a fast paced and dynamic service both developing a rapid response element to the team alongside providing rehabilitation across Copeland ICC.

Main duties of the job
Copeland ICC provides admission prevention, supported discharge, specialist assessment and rehabilitation for patients with a wide range of long and short-term conditions. We work closely with our health and social care colleagues for care and advice.
The successful candidate will need to be motivated and able to demonstrate excellent assessment and communication skills as well as good team working.

Person specification
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Completion of core junior rotations (Respiratory/neurological/musculo-skeletal/elderly care)
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Experience of working within the NHS
- Good Knowledge of Evidence Based Clinical Practice within Rehabilitation
- Good Knowledge of Continuing Professional Development/Lifelong Learning
- Knowledge and understanding of Clinical Governance including Risk Management
- Understanding of Professional Code of Conduct and confidentiality
- Knowledge of key NHS drivers for change and implications for Physiotherapy services
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working at a Band 6 level
- Experience of working within a community setting.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Teaching / Mentoring of healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of management of patients with long-term conditions and falls
- Knowledge of clinical audit and outcome measures, and their use in service improvement
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- CSP recognised Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registered
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of attendance at relevant post graduate courses
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

- The post holder needs good IT skills, the ability to input data, communicate via email and search for evidence based practice. The post holder will be able to manage the trusts computer systems following induction training.
