An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the AHP Admin Team based in the Physiotherapy Department in both West Cumberland Hospital and Workington Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to give administrative support to the Physiotherapy department and other AHP clinicians. This involves patient facing Reception duties, managing patient appointments and answering patient enquiries.
The role requires liaising with AHP clinicians, support staff and a variety of NHS staff on a daily basis. Experience of Microsoft Office and good literacy and communication skills are essential for this role.
The post will primarily be based in West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven but the successful post holder will be required to occasionally provide cover at Workington Hospital in times of sickness and annual leave.

Essential criteria
- Minimum of 2 GCSE’s of level 4 and above/grade C in Maths and English or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Additional qualification in Business Admin OCR/RSA Word Processing ICDL or equivalent.
Experience

- Experience of office/clerical procedures and practices, filing systems, use of dedicated computer systems and databases.
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in a administration role.
- Experience working within a health service.
- Experience of computer systems to run basic activity reports.
