Physiotherapy Technical Instructor Band 3 –  To support the Long COVID Rehabilitation Pathway     

We have a temporary Physiotherapy Assistant job working as part of the Acute inpatient Physiotherapy Team at the West Cumberland Hospital

You will work under direct supervision of a qualified Physiotherapist, assisting with the assessment and treatment of complex neurologically impaired patients, as well as carrying your own small caseload of patients. The role involves supporting the wider MDT with holistic patient care.

Main duties of the job

 

This post works across  busy Wards so the individual needs to be flexible and a team player. The post has non-clinical/admin roles such as equipment ordering. You will receive the required training to fulfil the role.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

 

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.80 = £30.80. Deducted at £9.80 from 1st month salary and £7 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.80 = £48.80. Deducted at £15.80 from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Person specification

Qualifications.

Essential criteria
  • Good general education including English language. NVQ Level 3 in health related subject or equivalent qualification / experience in health / sports science

Experience

  • Working with people where enabling and motivating skills are evident. Working within a team

  • Supervisory experience Health care work Working with people with physical needs

Knowledge
