Business Support Administrator

Job overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic administrator to join our team, supporting the Children in Care Team within the Women and Children’s Care Group. 

The post holder will need excellent communication, administration and IT skills to support the team to deliver a high quality service to our clients and professional partners.  You will be supported in this role by the Business Support Team Lead

The post is 30 hours with the option to work these over 4 or 5 days.

The post can either be based in Workington or Carlisle

Main duties of the job

The post includes:

  • Ensuring all children are recalled for Health Assessment within appropriate time scales
  • Uploading meeting invites to Electronic Patient Record and informing clinicians of meetings
  • Updating Electronic Patient Record with details of new referrals
  • Interrogating Health IT Systems for information as requested
  • Distributing Health assessments and Health care plans
  • Collection of other additional health or medical information relevant to individual children as required
  • Typing reports dictated by the Medical Advisors
  • Working closely with the Adoption Team in the local authorities to ensure all required reports for the are available in a timely manner
  • The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high quality administrative support to the team.
  • The post holder will act as a point of contact for patients, colleagues and external partners and appropriately manage communications within the team
  • Working as part of a team and covering for colleagues when necessary

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • GCSE English language (minimum C grade) or equivalent.
  • • NVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • • NVQ Level 3 in administration or equivalent
  • • Competent Audio transcription

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Operating word processing and other computer packages including Excel and Outlook
  • • Audio typing / word processing.
  • • Experience of dealing with confidential information
