Job overview

This post is fixed term / secondment for 9 months due to maternity cover.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to support the Clinical Directorate for 9 months to cover a period of maternity leave. The Successful individual will providing high quality and timely administrative and project support to the Project Managers, the Team and partners, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of local, regional, national and transformation programmes in  Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust . 

The base will be agreed on recruitment and there are flexible working arrangements for staff to work remotely. 

Main duties of the job

  • You will have a proven track record of providing proactive, efficient and confidential administrative and project support on a variety of projects and programmes.
  • With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have high attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to prioritise and have significant experience of providing administrative support to meetings, including maintaining key documentation and organising complex meetings and diaries. You will have demonstrable experience in producing high quality documentation using Microsoft Office such as minutes, action logs, reports and presentations.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and changing environment providing professional support, resolving day-to-day challenges, and acting as the first point of contact for project enquiries

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Educated to a Diploma level or equivalent level of experience within a project support environment, together with a high level of numeracy, written and spoken English
Desirable criteria
  • Demonstrates understanding of project management/methodologies

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and appropriate maintenance and storage of records
  • Ability to use MS Office 365 and desktop applications inc. MS Teams effectively
  • Experience of transcribing and minute taking
Desirable criteria
  • Working in an NHS environment
  • Use of PRINCE2 or MSP
  • Producing communications information
