An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Head and Neck Unit,  Surgical Division based at Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

If you are looking for an interesting and varied position and would like to work as part of a friendly and busy team this could be the position you are looking for.

We are recruiting a Receptionists to join the team within the Head and Neck Unit . You will help to improve the patients experience and quality of care whilst within the department.

The Head and Neck Unit is committed to developing and enhancing skills that you currently possess and will offer you the opportunity to gain further skills via a range of training courses designed to suit your own needs.

Main duties of the job

  • You will be working front line in a challenging environment and should have the ability to interact with patients and staff on a daily basis in an efficient and friendly way and stay calm in any situation.

  • You must be motivated, have good communication, inter-personal and administration skills

Education, Training and Qualifications CPD Requirements

Essential criteria
  • GCSE English or equivalent
  • NVQ level II Customer Service or equivalent
  • Standard level of IT literacy
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ II in Customer Service or equivalent knowledge and skills

Experience

Essential criteria
  • To be able to demonstrate previous administration experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working with the public - customer care
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the waiting list procedures in accordance with the local and national targets and the Trust Patient access policy
  • To able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a customer facing role
