Job overview
Plans and organises the daily routines of the multi disciplinary soft facilities team at Queens Hospital, Burton.
Day to day supervision of staff.
Main duties of the job
Ensure the delivery of a high quality, integrated service in line with national standards of cleanliness and agreed performance monitoring measures.
Day to day supervision of staff ensuring they carry out their duties in accordance with agree policies and procedures.
Assist in monitoring, reviewing and developing quality and service delivery, implementing agreed changes.
Day to day work allocation including prioritisation where necessary.
Assist in the delivery of compulsory and developmental training.
Assist in the induction training of new employees.
Carry out staff development reviews.
First line management of employee health and attendance including carrying out return to work interviews.
Daily monitoring of activity.
Assist in the implementation and ongoing enforcement of infection control measures.
Resolve any routine service deficiencies/failures, referring to Duty Manager when appropriate.
Ensure all staff are correctly equipped to carry out their duties.
Ensure that all shifts are covered for annual leave, sickness or other absences.
Where necessary, form part of the rota commitment and carry out relevant duties as necessary.
Hold regular team meetings, record discussions and ensure agreed actions are addressed.

- GCSE level 3 in Maths and English or equivalent
- Knowledge of IT systems/ computer skills
