Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for; 

Deputy General Manager - Imaging

Applications are invited for the position of Imaging Deputy General Manager Band 8b within UHDB.

We are looking for an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of excellent leadership qualities, innovation and driving successful change within a busy Imaging department. You will work closely with the Imaging General Manager and leadership team to ensuring that a high quality and responsive Radiology service is delivered.

You will support and deputise as required for the General Manager in supporting delivery of strategic, operational and performance aspects the Business unit.  You will also contribute towards the achievement of the financial forecast and delivery of contracted activity, interpreting and implementing local policy/ strategy and deliver service development.  You will also be responsible for site specific issues across Radiology as necessary on behalf of the General Manager.

Effective communication skills are vital, as is the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level. A successful track record of managing change and the ability to effectively engage with and develop our dedicated Imaging team is key.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience of working within UHDB across all sites within a network where excellent working relationships are already well established and there is a real enthusiasm to take our service forward.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
